One of BOF’s main tasks are to take care of outdoor recreation areas and beaches. We currently (2025) oversee and maintain more than 270 public areas.

We also have some “kystledhus” – coastal fairway houses – for rent at a low cost. The coastal fairway is an initiative working to protect and develop cultural values along the coast and in our fjords. All the houses and areas have a rich history. Click here to see our available houses. 

In addition, we help organize many outdoor related activities, we have equipment for rent, and we are more than happy to share our expertise.
